He was predeceased by: his father Robert Lee Deal; and his grandfather Clayton Burns (Marian). He is survived by: his children, Liz Fortner (Dustin) and Addi Deal; his grandchildren, Krimson, Zander and Arrayah; his sister Gail Crane (Dave); his nieces, Shanna Swartzentruber (Lore), Dawn Sanchez (Everett) and Tara Crane (Craig); and his nephew Chris Schmitz. He is also survived by many loving family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
