He is survived by: his wife Doris Esther Lingo of Marengo, Iowa.; his children, Dawn (Spring) of Eldridge, Iowa. and David of Marion; his grandchildren, Dr. Ashlyn Spring (Josh Fletcher), Jac Logan Spring (Azra) and Captain Eli Spring (Kim); his great grandchild Richard Michael "Ry" Fletcher; his sister Rev. Esther Dant; and his sister-in-law Elaine Faas.
