It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Grodt of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, born in Paducah, Kentucky, who passed away on August 16, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Grodt and Margery Grodt (Simon); and his brother-in-law Tom Hinkle. He is survived by: his wife Mary Kay of Cedar Rapids, IA; his children, Eric Grodt of Cedar Rapids, IA and Stephanie Peck (Kris) of Roseville, MN; his grandchildren, Sam Grodt of Virginia, Elena Grodt of Virginia, Lydia Peck of Tucson, AZ and Madeleine Peck of Roseville, MN; and his siblings, Don Grodt (Delia) of Brooklyn, NY, David Grodt (Vicki) of Des Moines, IA and Linda Berg (John) of Minneapolis, MN. He is also survived by loving extended family members and friends.
