He is survived by: his children, Chad (Kylene) of Hiawatha and Stacy (Vince) of Cedar Rapids.
The military honors was held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home (520 Wilson Ave SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Legacy Center at Murdoch-Linwood (520 Wilson Ave SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404).
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations in John's honor to be directed to the Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House, 315 18th Ave. Hiawatha, Iowa 52233.
