It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nancy Joan DeReus in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, born in Bloomfield, Iowa, who passed away on September 21, 2023, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her siblings, Glen, David Burton and Vicky Tennis; her niece Brooke Burton; and her parents, Lloyd "Buck" Burton and Bessie Burton (Covington).
She is survived by: her husband Dale; her daughter Tracy Moses; her stepchildren, Darrin DeReus (April) of Alexandria, VA, Amanda Layman (Jamey) of Des Moines and Angie Howarth (Alan) of Earlham, IA; her grandchildren, Taylor, Tanner Moses, Kelcey Hardine (Alex), Emma Yogore (Connor), Zach Howarth (Allison), Sloan Stamper (Steven), Maddie Layman, Joseph DeReus (Aliyah), Kennedy DeReus, Cayla, Braedon and Anthony Layman; her siblings, Jean Ullrick (Randy), Sandra Walker (Gus), Sheila Miller, Doug and Mike Burton; her sister-in-law Krista Stufflebeam; and her close friend Rebecca Steege. She is also survived by 2 great grandchildren.
