She was predeceased by: her parent Axel; her husband Donald Caves; and her son-in-law Dennis Pettit. She is survived by: her children, Steven Caves (Suzanne) and Susan Pettit; her grandchildren, Daniel Pettit, David Caves, Melissa McDonald (Eric), Stephanie Coy (Dustin), Stacey Wilke (Michael) and Michael Caves (Kathryn); and her sister-in-law LaOra Miles. She is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 9:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the New Covenant Bible Church (3090 N Center Point Rd, Cedar Rapids, IA 52411). A committal service will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Memorial Lawn Cemetery (3002 N Ct St, Ottumwa, IA 52501).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Children's Ministry at New Covenant Bible Church.
