He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Rose Marie Miller of Cedar Rapids; his children, Tim (Sally) of Cedar Rapids and Christine Epstein of Oak Park, CA.; his stepdaughter Sandra Leigh of Cedar Rapids; his former wife Joan Smith; his children, Chris and Michele; and his parents, Edward Kane and Marjorie Kane. He was also cherished by 6 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
