He is survived by: his wife Shirley Jean Schanbeck; his daughter Melanie German (Chris Perdue); his son-in-law Dennis Steffes; his son Dennis German (Jillian); his grandsons, Alex Steffes and Eric Steffes (Brie); and his siblings, Steve German (Janaan), Greg German (Lori), Marlene Kortenkamp and Sheryl Porter. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
