The memory of Mary Lou Shakespeare of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on November 23, 2024 at the age of 93, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Willard Comp and Helen Comp (Reidel); her husband George Shakespeare; her children, Diane Voss and Dennis Shakespeare; and her siblings, Marian "Babe" Kohl and Robert "Bodie" Comp.
She is survived by: her daughters, Dawn Bender (Larry), Dorothy Workman, Debra Langguth (Tracy) and Donna Frantz (Larry); and her sister Connie Fish (Ron). She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Papich Kuba Funeral Service (1228 2nd St SE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52401). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
