She was predeceased by: her parents, Ben B. Merritt and Florences M. Merritt (Hawkins); her husband Joe; her grandsons, Ben Havlicek and Luke Buettner; and her brothers, Keith Merritt, Charles Merritt, James Merritt (Beverly) and Ronald Merritt.
She is survived by: her children, Peggy Buettner (DeWayne), Becky Havlicek (Bob) and Al Hayden (Karen); and her sisters-in-law, Jean Merritt and Marilyn Merritt. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Brosh Chapel - Cedar Rapids (2121 Bowling St SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
