Mary Hanzelka Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Hanzelka of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, born in Chelsea, Iowa, who passed away on March 22, 2023 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Hanzelka and Mary Hanzelka (Sichra); her husband Dan; and her siblings, Marcella Hanzelka, Val Hanzelka (Donna), Stan Hanzelka (Jane), Bernadette Spurgeon, Norbert Hanzelka and Francis.
She is survived by: her brother Cyril Hanzelka (Shirley); her sister-in-law Jane Foley; and her stepchildren, David Leary (Mary), Susan Malloy (Mike) and Lisa Lueninghoener (Pete). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to Bethany Home, the Church of the Nativity both in Dubuque, or St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Hiawatha, or St. Mary Catholic Church, Solon.
