In loving memory of Martha Rae Holmes of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who departed this world on February 6, 2025 at the age of 87. Martha Rae leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband John Holmes; her brother John Rammelsberg, Jr.; and her parents, John Rammelsberg and Bernice Hamilton Rammelsberg. She is survived by: her children, Brian Holmes (Kathy) and Connie Palmer (Jeff) of Cedar Rapids; her grandchildren, Cody and Sara; her stepgrandchildren, Eric, Daryl and Tori; and her sister Bernadine Hoyt. She is also survived by 4 beautiful step-great-granddaughters.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Teahen Funeral Home (3100 F Ave NW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52405). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to any charity of choice in Martha's name.
