As Marlis Marie Van departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Marlis Marie Van. Though Marlis Marie Van may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur L. Nortwed and Ruby Mae Harris; her husband Donald F Chadima; and her former husband Calvin M Van Loh. She is survived by: her children, Dean (Jane) of Iowa City, Lori of Cedar Rapids and Tim of Cedar Rapids; her grandsons, Christopher (Amy) of North Liberty and Michael of Cedar Rapids; and her great grandchildren, Orren Dean Van Loh and Van Loh.
