With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marilyn Louwerse of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on December 6, 2024 at the age of 83. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Marilyn Louwerse to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Danny Bruyn and Elsie Bruyn (Mesman); her daughter LuAnn Marie Louwerse; and her brother Robert Bruyn. She is survived by: her husband Louis Louwerse of Cedar Rapids, IA; her children, Mark Louwerse (Lorene) of Des Moines, IA, Daniel Louwerse of Cedar Rapids, IA and Sarah Struwe (Curtis) of Lake City, MN; her grandson Caden Struwe; and her sisters, Brenda Blom (Fred), Diane Van Kley (Pete) and Lori Keunen (Harve).
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Peace Christian Reformed Church (6600 C Ave NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Peace Christian Reformed Church.
