He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren Wharton and Lois Wharton (Culver); and his pet Ruby. He is survived by: his wife Ann Parker of Cedar Rapids, IA; his children, Brian Wharton (Jill) of Melbourne, FL, Rachel Wharton of Cedar Rapids, IA and Hether Stauffacher of Cedar Rapids, IA; his grandchildren, Tyler, Kaylee Wharton and Omari Ware; and his sister Gretchen Humiston (Jeff) of Marion.
