It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Madonna M. Hartl of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, born in Norway, Iowa, who passed away on July 27, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Edward D. Hartl; and her parents, Clarence Meskimen and Regina Meskimen (Ockenfels). She is survived by: her children, Cindy Spivey (Tim), Mike Hartl (Jeri), Kathy Snyder (Ken), Ely and Dennis Hartl (Jill); her grandchildren, Ted Spivey, Amy Yaukovitz, Jessica Spivey, Danyl Lown, Katie Spivey, Josh Hartl, Jeremy Hartl, Melissa Bernett, Michelle Snyder, Austin Snyder, Sarah Snyder, McKayla Hook, McKenzie Hartl and Amelia Hartl; and her siblings, Shirley Vislisel and Orville Meskimen (Donna). She is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be given to Hospice of Mercy and Saint Wenceslaus Catholic Church.
