With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Louis Ornelas Cerda of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, born in Gonzales, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 21, 2024 at the age of 88. Though Louis may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Louis touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his son Roy Arroyo. He is survived by: his wife Mary Cerda; his daughter Terry Langhurst (Jim); his grandsons, Adam Polaski, Mike Polaski (Sara) and Lucas Polaski (Maggie); and his great grandchildren, Kendal Suchanek, Joseph, Mason, Finn and Miles Polaski.
