He was predeceased by: his parents, John Stevers and Mary Stevers (Link); his wife Patricia Capuano; his children, Patty Jo Butteris and John Capuano; his granddaughter Jolene Butteris; his son-in-law Charles Butteris; and his siblings, Kathleen Whittaker, Lois Eppling, Russell Lee, Jessie William, Henry Wiley, Bueland David, Charles Donald, Gerald Link and John Jacob Stevers.
He is survived by: his daughter Faith Ring (Lyman) of Marion, Iowa; his grandchildren, Brian Ring (Angie) of Cedar Rapids, Christopher Ring (Audrey) of Savannah, Melissa Schroeder (Nik) of Bernard, Raven Butteris and Jacqueline Butteris of Marshalltown, Iowa; and his great grandchildren, Cameron Ring of Indianapolis and Joseph Ring of Denver, Colorado..
