He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Schallau and Ella Schallau (Burmeister). He is survived by: his wife Janet DeWitt; his stepson Brad Lang (Tamra) of Cedar Rapids; his grandchildren, Carson Lang of Iowa City and Scarlett Lang of Cedar Rapids; and his sister Sharron Schallau of Keystone.
