He was predeceased by: his brothers, Donald and Robert; his parents, Anton Novak and Eleanor Novak; and his wife Patricia Taylor.

He is survived by: his brother Raymond Novak (Joyce); his son Terry Novak (Mary); and his granddaughters, Breanna Mohney (Samuel) and Natasha Novak.
