He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Kurt and Joyce "Sally" Kurt (Harmon); his sister Leah; and his parents-in-law, Craig and Judy.
He is survived by: his true love Jenny of Marion; and his children, Rita Komers (Steve) of Marion and Kevin Kurt (Felicia) of Charles City. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
