He was predeceased by: his brother Richard Pieper; his sister-in-law Judy Pieper; and his parents, George Pieper and Genevieve Schulte Pieper. He is survived by: his brother Dan Pieper of Cedar Rapids; his niece Ashley Pieper of Tiffin; and his nephew Austin Pieper of Cedar Rapids. He is also survived by two great nieces and one great nephew.

Instead of flowers, memorial may be directed to the family.
