The memory of Kayleen Sue Basler of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on March 1, 2025 at the age of 88, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Thompson and Marguerite Thompson (Gardner); and her sister JoEllen Unterseher. She is survived by: her husband David Basler of Cedar Rapids; her children, Daniel Callarman of Cottonwood, Kerry Rosenfeld (Alan) of St. Peters and Kurt Callarman (Tammy) of Wesley Chapel, Florida; her stepsons, Nathan Basler (Erin) of Istanbul and Evan Basler (Denise) of Longmont, Colorado; her grandchildren, Tiffany Briley (Robert), Brittany Ruiz (Chris), Jenna Callarman, Ashley Rosenfeld, Oliver Basler and Lillian Hank; and her great grandchildren, Vivian, Raymond, Bobbie Sue Briley, Haven and Camen Ruiz.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Westminster Presbyterian Church (1285 3rd Ave SE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52403).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Memorial Fund at Westminster Presbyterian Church or UnityPoint Hospice.
