He was predeceased by: his wife Frances Montgomery. He is survived by: his children, Joseph Montgomery, Jr. (Erica) of Cedar Rapids, Shawnda Wade (Myron) of Orlando and Felicia McKinney of Cedar Rapids; his grandchildren, Raije Doctor, Demarcus Daniels, Eleecia Ratcliff, Liam Joseph Montgomery and Hannah Montgomery; and his sister Juanita. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
