We are sad to announce that on January 20, 2024, at the age of 52, Jon Freesmeier of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, born in Fort Madison, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, James, Alice Mullahy, Louis and Della Freesmeier; and his father-in-law Ken McDermott.
He is survived by: his parents, Delmar Freesmeier and Cheryl Freesmeier (Mullahy); his wife Michele McDermott; his children, Nathan and Claire; his sister Maria Beamer (Micheal); his mother-in-law Maureen McDermott; his siblings-in-law, Jason McDermott (Dede), Aaron McDermott and Kristi McDermott (Gerry Notara); and his nieces and nephews, William Beamer, Sam, Rachel, Rebecca and Anna McDermott.
