It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jon F. Hearst of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on April 10, 2025, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jon F. Hearst to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Carl, Bernice Hearst, Everett and Frances Hoffmeyer; his uncle Eugene Hearst (Sally); his father-in-law James Stolba; and his brother-in-law Dennis D. Jacobs.
He is survived by: his mother Eleanor Hoffmeyer Hearst of Cedar Rapids; his wife Penny Hearst; his daughters, Ashley Hearst of Hampton and Jodi Hearst of Hampton; his granddaughter Abigail Hearst; his siblings, Debra Roberts (Timothy) of Walford, Julie Hearst of Cedar Rapids and Joseph Hearst of Walford; his father Robert Hearst; his aunt Marilyn Weber of Muscatine; his uncle Tom Hearst (Juanita) of Tipton; his mother-in-law Delores Stolba; his nephew Nathan Jacobs (MaryKate); and his nieces, Dani Kremer (Pat) and Nicole Flockhart (Mike).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 9:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Jude Catholic Church (50 Edgewood Rd NW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52405).
