He was predeceased by: his parents, John Murphy and Gertrude Murphy (Wilson); and his sister Janice Murphy. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Murphy of Cedar Rapids; his children, Kevin Murphy (Jill) of Atlanta, Georgia and Karen Soto (Irvin) of Pleasanton, California; and his grandchildren, Teddy Murphy, Heath Murphy (Jun), Brian Soto and Nicole Soto.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to a charity of the donor's choice in memory of Jack.
