It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Robert Herder of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, born in Graceville, Minnesota, who passed away on February 21, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Theobald Herder and Ohonar Herder (Rivers). He is survived by: his wife Vivian Miller; his children, Thomas Herder (Gwen) of Robins, David Herder of Cedar Rapids, Michael Herder of Colorado Springs, Stephen Herder (Laurie) of Mound and Jennifer Timmerman (Terry) of Cedar Falls; and his grandchildren, Amanda Watters (Andrew), Shane Herder (Caitlin), Sean Herder, Amanda Martin (Shawn), John Herder, Emily Herder, Brianna Herder, Elizabeth Herder, Joseph Herder (Bernadette), Charles Herder, Alexa Timmerman and Tyler Timmerman. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren.
