He was predeceased by: his wife Ramona Porter; his daughter Linda Kay Gallagher; his son-in-law Larry Rocarek; and his parents, Patrick Gallagher and Marie Burke Gallagher.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Rocarek of Glen Flora, WI, Mike Gallagher (Deb) of Cedar Rapids, Jim Gallagher (Julie) of Hiawatha and Bob Gallagher of St. Louis, MO; and his grandchildren, Michelle, Matthew, Haley, Wendy, Larry Jr., Steve and Scott. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
