It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joel Everett Halterman of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on December 31, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lowell Halterman and Anna Halterman; his sister Mary Lynette Halterman Wright; and his nephew Kevin Wright. He is survived by: his wife Beverly A. Hinton Scanlon; his sister Ruth Ellen Halterman; and his niece Karen Lynette Wright.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests donations to be made to Needy Paws Rescue, 8923 Gravois Rd., St. Louis, MO 63123 in memory of Joel.
