He is survived by: his wife Janice McBride of Cedar Rapids, IA; his children, JoAnn Whiteside Bentley (Timothy) of Des Moines, IA, Brenda Martin (Dosie) of Jackson, TN, Joe Westly Whiteside (Teresa) of Grand Blanc, MI, Brandon Whiteside and Winifred "Desiree" Whiteside James (Joseph James); his siblings, Mildred Whiteside of Humbolt, TN, Mary Pledge of Cedar Rapids, IA, Benny Whiteside of Oakdale, IA and Emanuel Whiteside (Barbara); and his sister-in-law Mary Whiteside of Cedar Rapids, IA.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 19th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Corinthian Baptist Church (814 School St, Des Moines, IA 50309). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
