We bid farewell to Joan Sanders of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 15, 2024 at the age of 90. Joan touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though Joan may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Joan touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, David Ward and Gladys Ward (Fisher); her husband Harold Sanders; and her brother Donald Ward. She is survived by: her children, Mark (Jenny) of Albuquerque, NM and Susan (Ivan) of Tucson, AZ; her grandsons, Diego and David; her daughter Lisa of New York City, NY; and her sister Mary Jean Beck of Cedar Rapids, IA..
A burial was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Eben Israel Cemetery.
