He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Atwood and Emmaa Atwood (Miller); his wife Maggie; his daughter Judy Reedy; his grandson Jay Allen Atwood; and his brother Pat Atwood.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Atwood of North Carolina and Carol Dunham of Georgia. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren.
