With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janet Marie Fullmer of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, born in Marengo, Iowa, who passed away on May 4, 2023 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her sons, Barry Schmitz (Suzy) and Bryan Schmitz; her grandchildren, Janelle, Madison, Jacob and Aly; her great grandchildren, Odin and Atlas; her siblings, Ron Ahrens (Nancy), Marilyn Murphy, Ruth Tataone and Gerald Ahrens (Rita Ann); her daughter-in-law Dana Schmitz; her former husband Daniel Schmitz; her son Darrin Schmitz; her husband Laverne Fullmer; and her parents, Frank Ahrens and Florence Wiebold Ahrens. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

Instead of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Janet's name.
