He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Evans and Thelma Evans Hess (Beardsley); his stepfather Vern Hess; his grandmother Ethel Beardsley; and his brothers, Marty Evans and Tom Evans.
He is survived by: his wife Pat Evans of Cedar Rapids; his daughters, Kelly Novak of Cedar Rapids and Kathy Poohl (Ted) of Cedar Rapids; his grandchildren, Andrew Novak, Morgan Schuttloffel (David) and Logan Poohl; his great grandchild Luke Schuttloffel; his siblings, Bob Evans (Deedee) of Cedar Rapids, Chuck Evans (Becky) of Cedar Rapids and Kay Welch (Al) of Atkins, Iowa; and his cousin Elwyn Osterkamp. He is also survived by many loving brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
