It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irene O'Connor of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on May 31, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Rueter and Eleanor Rueter (Menke); her husband Jerry; and her siblings, Bill, Carl Rueter and Tina Weepie.

She is survived by: her children, Patrick O'Connor (Angie) of Cedar Rapids, Jolene Myers (Mark) of Waukee, Janelle Roe (Steve) of Cedar Rapids and Janine Glass (Brian); her sister Cathy Boddicker; and her sister-in-law Diana Schilling. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Meals on Wheels.
