It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Henry Leo Dawson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, born in Argyle, Iowa, who passed away on December 15, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Bertha Dawson; his wife Milli; his father Dwight Dawson; his siblings, Edith, Esther, Nellie, Chester and Marceine; and his son Jeffery Lyn Dawson.
He is survived by: his children, Charlesetta Dawson of Browns Summit, Kevin Dawson of Cedar Rapids, Luana Steele (Fredrick) of St. Louis Park, Lisa Elzia (Keith) of Eden Prairie and Karl Davis (Lori) of Fredericksburg, Virginia; his sister Vivian Smith; his siblings-in-law, Carolyn Rumph and Jerry Tolson (Karen); his grandchildren, Cymaron, Brandon, Staisha, Asia, Joshua, Brittne, Derek, Tia, Noah, Shannon, Lejandrea, Sheridan, Dominic and Dimitrius; and his great grandchildren, Mykal, Tajia, Alivia, Jayda, Brandon, Aniya and Maliya. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
