She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Harris and Katie Mae Harris (Lott); her husband Edward "Pip" Ware Jr.; and her siblings, William Harris and Arzella Harris.

She is survived by: her children, Edward LaVel Ellis Jr., Tea Ware and Joel Ware; her grandchildren, Asia, Kichuan, Keimaiya, Keila, Mateyo, Julani and Macyn; her great grandchildren, I'yonna and Nazir; and her siblings, Wayne Harris (Dora) and Ruth.

Memorials may be made to the Ware Grandchildren Education Fund.
