It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harriet Bierman of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, born in Middle Amana, Iowa, who passed away on September 13, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Otto Hegewald and Louise Hegewald (Muesse); her husband Kenneth Bierman; her brother Willard Hegewald (Joanne); and her parents-in-law, Harold and Bertha Bierman.
She is survived by: her daughters, Elaine Sample (Bob) of Cedar Rapids, IA, Diane Jeck of Walford, IA and Linda Zapata of Cedar Rapids, IA; and her grandchildren, Jeremy Jeck (Jessica), Jason Jeck, Jennifer Jeck, Shawn Zapata (Amanda) and Aaron Zapata (Jessica).
