It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harold Burnette Hixson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, born in Hillsboro, Iowa, who passed away on September 18, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hiram Hixson and Minnie Hixson; his brothers, John, Harvey and Charles; and his children, Marcia and Randy.
He is survived by: his wife Claudine Kent; his children, Vicki Funke (Bill) of Byron Il and Mark (Lori) of Cedar Rapids; his grandchildren, John Hixson, Aaron Hixson, Daniel Funke, Holly Funke, Brian Hixson, Kelly Kintzel and Harrison Hixson; and his brother-in-law Robert Kent of Cedar Rapids. He is also survived by 3 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
