She was predeceased by: her father Edward Winn; her husband Ralph Whited (Don); her daughter Marcella Short; her mother Rose Winnl (Otjen) of Carroll; her siblings, Lois Winn, Mary Cota, Donald, Marion, Glen and Jim Winn; and her siblings-in-law, Delbert Anderson, Dennis Reis, Tom Cota, Jerry Gute and Donna Blackwell.
She is survived by: her son Mark Short (Joni); her grandchildren, Jennifer Eilers (Brian Visser), Jessica Hepworth (Daniel) and Dan Short (Mary); her great grandchildren, Lars, Leighton Eilers, Alton, Thomas, Margaret Hepworth, Amelia and Camille Short; her sisters, Arlene Anderson, Corinne Gute, Gloria Reis and Georgia Schmickle; and her siblings-in-law, Delores Winn, Phyllis Winn and Steve Schmickle. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 30th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Papich-Kuba Funeral Service (1228 2nd St SE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52401). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the New City Church (5335 Midway Dr NW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52405).
