It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Geraldine C. Wilson (Cedar Rapids, Iowa), who passed away on February 23, 2024, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, H. B. Mathys (Hank) and Iva Bennett Mathys; her husband Darol Wilson; her sister Lois Voshell (Mathys); her brother-in-law Clarke Voshell; her brother Clarion Mathys; and her sister-in-law Darlene Mathys.
She is survived by: her children, Ivy (Dave Hagedorn) of Waterloo, IA and Hal Wilson (Marty Berda) of Elgin, IA.; her grandchildren, Jenny Hanson of Raleigh, NC, Kari Hanson of St. Louis Park, MN and Chris Wilson (Amanda) of Grimes, IA.; and her great grandchildren, Kennedy, Cambrie and Ellie Wilson of Grimes.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed in her name to the Wadena First Responders or the Illyria Church Window Restoration Project.
