He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Clemmens and Mary Britcher Clemmens; his wife Mary Marcia Newhouse; and his siblings-in-law, Marsha Newhouse and Jerry Kirkpatrick.
He is survived by: his children, Karie Saupe (Tim) of Parker, CO, Keel (Danielle) of Stone City, IA and Kristopher of Phoenix, AZ; his grandsons, Matthew Clemmens of Atlanta, GA, Benjamin Clemmens of Macomb, IL, Nathan and Nicholas Clemmens of Gilbert, AZ; his stepgrandchildren, Nicole Gardner (John) of Overland Park, KS and Adam Jaschen of Iowa City, IA; his stepgreat-grandson Emerson Gardner of Overland Park, KS; and his siblings-in-law, Muriel Kirkpatrick of Lincoln City, OR and Kelly Newhouse of Robins, IA.. He is also survived by five nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
His body was donated to the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine for research and his cremains will be interned in the St. Paul's United Methodist Church columbarium upon return. Memorials may be directed to St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
