Gary Happel Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 24, 2024, at the age of 72, Gary Happel of Cedar Rapids, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Happel and Donna Happel. He is survived by: his siblings, Rick Happel (Deb), Rod Happel (Cindy), Stacy Nolan (Mark), Kendall Happel (Conni), Brenda DeCamp (Bob) and Tom Happel (Laurie); his sons, Scott Happel (Jen) and Benjamin Happel; his grandson Benny Happel; his wife JoEllen Myers; and his uncle Jim Happel. He is also survived by his wife, two sons, a grandson, his siblings, many beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home (4200 1st Ave NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402).
In lieu of flowers, the family is establishing a memorial fund for a permanent bench to be placed on the CeMar Trail behind Hap and JoEllen's home.
