With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gary F. Torrey of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, born in Manchester, Iowa, who passed away on June 15, 2023 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Elaine; his brothers, Steven and Roger Torrey; his parents-in-law, Walter and Wanda Bacon; his siblings-in-law, David, Wayne Bacon and Marylou Champion; and his parents, Harold Torrey and Gracie Harbaugh Torrey.
He is survived by: his wife Dianne Bacon; his daughters, Marsha Torrey (Mark Franks) of Cedar Rapids and Susan Karns (Rick) of Cedar Rapids; his siblings, Harvey (Karen), Merlin (Judy), Janet Kruse (Bill), Lyle (Marie), Kevin (Diane) and Bob (Kathy); his siblings-in-law, Marlyn Bacon (Laurel), Becky Bacon and Cheryl Torrey; and his sisters, Wilma Macalalag and Doris Hotop. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
