He is survived by: his wife Marion Hyke; his children, Deb Samec-Colony (Ray) of Iowa City and Frank W Samec of Marengo; his grandchildren, Will Colony, Matt Colony and Ali Samec; and his siblings, Arthur Samec and Mary McConnell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
