With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eleanore Maas of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, born in Marengo, Iowa, who passed away on April 14, 2023 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hedwig (Neumann) and William (Bill); her husband Clark George Maas; and her sister Norma (Dusterhoft). She is survived by: her sister Shirley Witte (Mantz); her sister-in-law Marlene Mantz (Martens); her children, Gary Maas of Lodi, James Maas of Silver Spring and Susanne Menken (Roger) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; her grandsons, Alan Maas (Breanne) of Lodi, Aaron Menken of Fayetteville and Nathan Menken (Amanda) of Cary; her great grandchildren, Madalyn, Alayna Maas, Owen and Peyton Menken; and her brothers, Harold, Raymond, Henry and Gaylord. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making donations to Trinity Lutheran Church or Hospice of Mercy in her honor.
