He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilma Emerson (Van Dyke) and Max Emerson I.; and his brothers, John Emerson and Allen Emerson. He is survived by: his sons, Max Emerson (Lori) of Swisher and Jim Emerson (Annie) of Cedar Rapids; and his siblings, Molly Roberts Joe (Kevin), David Emerson and Mary Wignall. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren.
