He was predeceased by: his parents, Amanda L. Goers and Fred E. Goers; his wife Marilyn E. Everett; his children, Patricia Marie Goers and Thomas Gerard Goers; his brother Donald F. Goers; and his nephew Lee A. Goers.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home (4200 1st Ave NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church (995 5th Ave, Marion, IA 52302).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Breakthrough T1D (formerly Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) or the Cedar Valley Humane Society.
