It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Wharton (Cedar Rapids, Iowa), who passed away on November 21, 2024, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Dorothy Wharton to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lowell Davis and Minnie Davis (Copp); her husband Lewis Wharton; her siblings, Elmer Davis, Robert Davis, Margaret Schulte and Kenny Davis; her sons, Lewis Wharton Jr. and Duane Wharton; and her granddaughters, Tina Wharton and Anna Wharton.
She is survived by: her children, Lois Wilson (Gary), Don Wharton (Marilyn), Sam Wharton (Joan) and Bill Wharton (Kelly). She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren; and five great great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Papich Kuba Funeral Home (1228 2nd St SE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52401). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
